Our panelists on the latest and greatest celebrity looks

Victoria Beckham in her own label in Beijing this weekend

Victoria is wearing a sleeveless coat from her own autumn 2013 collection. When model Magda Laguinge wore it on the catwalk the styling felt a bit wrong – matching banana polo neck with camel arms and chunky black boots. But Victoria has nailed the styling of the banana coat. Top points for wearing it undone – much cooler, and for pairing it with fresh white and those cornflower blue trousers.

It may not seem so from first glance, but Victoria Beckham is taking a considerable risk with this flowing, summery outfit. Oh, the combination of pastel shades is fresh enough and the sunglasses are actually now surgically attached to her ears. But check out the camel-coloured sash on her pale lemon coat-y thing, echoed by the draping white neck tie. Most of us would tie it into a little bow. VB lets it all hang out, almost to the floor. Clearly, the desire to update the Mumm-Ra look  for 21st century haute-urban living is worth the risk of treading on the end of it and unravelling in public.

There's a hint of a smile and she's wearing bright colours; this is a serious departure! I like how she's allowed summer into the palette but kept the overall look the luxe end of laidback with smart courts and perfectly pressed trousers. Just the thing for a June business meeting. And yellow really is her colour (I've borrowed that phrase from my mum) – she should wear it more often.
