And the beauty world isn’t exempt – scan the web and you'll see that there’s some downright bonkers advice on offer. Rather than splash out on a rotating mascara, why not just jiggle your head instead? Always wanted silky-smooth cartoon legs like Ariel from The Little Mermaid but didn’t know how? There’s also some amusing footage from vintage broadcasts, offering women make-up ‘tips’ such as smearing on a kilo of face powder with a tissue and how to shorten the space under your nose. (Come on ladies, sort it out...)
