The vegan skincare that’s on every Hollywood film set

by

When you think of a Hollywood film set trailer, as in where Angelina Jolie or Penelope Cruz get made-up in between scenes, you’ll probably think of somewhere quite extraordinary. A place that’s luxuriously decked out with Veuve Cliquot filled fridges (though kale smoothies are no doubt more popular), velveteen sofas and expensive shag pile rugs. 60 inch plasma screens, gluten-free food on demand and bathrooms with gleaming gold taps. Or maybe not.

What you don’t often think might be lurking in these trailer sets, is vegan skincare. ‘Lordy, it didn’t even cross my mind’, I hear you cry, but it’s true; the place is rife with it. Well rife with Éminence, to be precise, a Hungarian cult brand that dates back to 1958 and has Angelina and co. wrapped around its little finger.

Éminence’s plant-based, antioxidant-rich range has wormed its way into some of the best the trailer sets in the business: The Hunger Games, Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones to name a few. And they all go crazy for it. So that’s the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Emilia Clarke who wash and moisturise with the brand’s Apricot Whip range or Rosehip series.

Even Johnny Depp is hooked on the stuff after using it on the set of his last film, The Lone Ranger (he apparently likes the Pear & Poppy Seed Microderm Polisher and Soy Night Recovery Cream best). Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender too, who've became equally obsessed with the stuff while filming X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is due out next year. And gosh, what a might fine cast of beautiful men they are, glowing skin and all.

Luckily, the brand is available outside of Universal Studios – you’ll find it here. And given that dreamboat Mr. Depp turned 50 this year and looks considerably younger, it’s probably one to stock up on.
