Now here's a collaboration to sit and take notice of. Nars nails (great colours, lasts for aeons) have teamed up with the universally beloved shoe label, Pierre Hardy and in doing so, breathe new life into the notion of nail art.

Inspired by the colours and textures of Pierre Hardy's Summer 2013 shoe collection, Nars has formulated a selection of six Nars/Pierre Hardy Polish Pairs, £22, all of which will be painted across fingertips at an exclusive pop-up nail bar at Selfridges from this Friday. 

Expect all manner of arty nail designs (favourably, camo and fruit pastille designs are notable by their absence) and classic manicures.
