What I'm Wearing: Josh Wood

by

He’s as at home coiffing models at couture week as he is in the Wella colour labs; where ever he goes, he’s never without a tobacco based blend

‘I’m wearing Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac right now. I have known Lyn Harris for many years and I always love her unique blends. There is a certain cleanness to her fragrances and they have very distinctive top notes which I like, while the other influences don't fight with the overall message of the scent. It doesn’t remind me of a particular time but more of a good night out - usually going to a yoga class and then out for a few drinks afterwards with friends. It’s a clean, fresh base with a hint of whiskey and tobacco, so quite masculine without being overpowering.

I pick up on its leather and smoky dark wood notes but I am so used to wearing it now that I don't really notice it. I get comments from both sexes about it all the time but it's more about the scent taking people by surprise rather than commenting on the actual fragrance. I just apply it to my neck and wrists in the mornings. I always have a day fragrance and a separate evening one as I like to feel different outside of the work environment. For night time, if I get the chance to go home and change, I’ll apply Dyptique 34.’
