When Suzy Menkes rained a monsoon on the fashion parade of streetstyle bloggers with her piece, The Circus of Fashion, in T Magazine back in February, key names in blogging including Leandra Medine and Susanna Lau, were inevitably, and unsurprisingly, narked.

However, talking at her ‘Fashion Icon’ series at 92Y in New York on Tuesday, she was keen to eradicate the idea that she has any beef with the online fashion writers going their own way, saying ‘I was so not trying to be negative about blogging’.

She continued, ‘In general, I’m 100% in favour of anything to do with the Internet, it’s quite exciting’.

She’s probably talking about all the cats – everyone loves the cats.
