There had been rumours for a couple of months but yesterday The Sunday Times confirmed that 70-year-old Mick Jagger is to become a great-grandfather for the first time as his daughter Jade Jagger’s first child, Assisi Jackson, 21, is expecting a baby with her chef boyfriend.

That, of course, also means that his ex-wife 68-year-old Bianca Jagger will become a great-grandmother, which in turn means that this new baby will have the coolest, most stylish great-grandparents in the whole word. 

When you think of great-grandparents, you generally think of people from the olden days. People who exist in sepia photographs with bonnets on their heads and petticoats under their dresses, people who lived through two wars, people who are really, really old.

You don't think of people like this.

Or this.

You don't think of lust like this.

Or cheekbones like this.

You don't think of outfits like this.

Or this.

You don't think of a badass woman who partied hard at Studio 54 before becoming a human rights activist.

You don't think of a rockstar who continues to shake his slim little hips in front of thousands at packed staduim concerts all over the world.

You just don't think of great-grandparents like this.

So congratulations to two people who will surely be the coolest great-grandparents ever.
