New festival: Unknown

by

Some of your favourite British music events The Warehouse Project and Field Day are going on tour - well, sort of. The creators of aforementioned fun-times are setting up shop in Croatia this September for a new festival, Unknown.

The line-up features The Horrors, Django Django (who had one of the best dance-along sets at Primavera in Barcelona and are definitely worth catching), East India Youth, Four Tet and loads more, plus more DJs than a Fat Boy Slim conference on Brighton beach would have. Any fears that it might feel like Shoreditch-on-sea should be quashed by the stunning surroundings of Rovinj, where the festival is located, and the fact that it's 100 percent less likely to rain into your cider over on the Adriatic coast. Plus, with a far more civilised camping situation than your average UK festival (showers! real toilets! restaurants!) you'll be able to focus your attention on seeking out new bands and topping up your tan instead of working out just how you're going to style wellies with a sun-dress.

With fairly reasonable ticket prices (£159 with five night's camping), and a good excuse go on a jaunt to Croatia, Unknown is a strong option among the wealth of festivals on around Europe this summer.

We just can't wait to see the sunkissed street style - you know it'll be beauts.
