Phoebe Philo in 'not on Linked In' shocker

by

In an interview with this month's American Vogue, Céline's Phoebe Philo has revealed the shocking truth*: that she isn't on Linked In.

Speaking to Hamish Bowles, she said: 'The chicest thing is when you don’t exist on Google. God, I would love to be that person!'

And we would like to be the sort of person who is so sought after they don't even need to be Googled.

'I honestly feel that everything I’ve got to say is in the product,' she continues. 'I’m happy to do interviews from time to time, but I don’t find them that necessary — and that hasn’t seemed to have affected people’s understanding of our work.'

Certainly not: Philo's take on publicity is more in the 'treat em mean, keep em keen' mould, constantly leaving her adoring public wanting more. Also in that camp are the likes of Rei Kawakubo, Azzedine Alaïa and Helmut Lang, so it's a fairly cool and important set to ally oneself to. (They're probably not on Linked In, either.)

We leave you with the breaking news that Philo will probably not be tweeting what she's having for dinner tonight either.
