Supermodel Adriana Lima has been a Victoria's Secret Angel for well over a decade, and given showstopping performances in all but one of their catwalk extravaganzas since 1999. She's dabbled with acting, alongside Mickey Rourke in The Follow on the big screen, and in How I Met Your Mother and Ugly Betty on the small, and hopes to take this to the next level in 2014 - that, and to meet the Dalai Lama.

Is the Victoria's Secret show as much fun backstage as it is on the catwalk?
We get all the energy backstage when we get ready. We start in hair and makeup, and that’s the time we get to get together with the other girls. We’re really like family, we do so many things together. The girls are all so nice.

What will you give to your girlfriends for Christmas?
I've picked the Dream Angels demi bra - what I love about it is the red lace, which is so good for the holidays if you like to be romantic and sexy. If I'm not sure of a bra size, there’s the Dreamer flannel PJ which is very comfortable and cosy. I’d like to receive them and would give them to my loved ones!

What do you wear at Christmas, and what are your traditions?
I start with the lingerie always. I would definitely wear something red because it’s the holidays and it’s my favourite colour. I like to have a lot of family time, giving gifts. That’s what Christmas is all about.
