The beauty team's favourite rainy day lipstick shades
A rainy day like today calls for a slick of lipstick. It instantly lifts the face and perks up even the weariest of complexions. So we turned to our lovely Lipstick Index and consulted it like a magic looking glass: which lipstick to wear?

'Flat Out Fabulous - who wouldn't want to wear that? For olive skins like mine the cool-toned but very bright fuchsia is a perfect fit for an Autumn lip. Bold in colour and powerful in grip, the matte texture means it sticks fast and even when it does wear (chances are you'll be good until after lunch), it leaves a stain rather than a displeasing 'fade'.'

'I don't often wear lipstick but recently have been drawn to darker plum and berry shades. It feels very autumnal and right for now. This is my firm favourite.'

'It’s the perfect red-y hue for autumn, it’s not too dark yet not to coral-y either and also feels super moisturising.'
