They say there’s no greater luxury than a bespoke perfume, but it turns out creating a truly unique scent is less about forking out a small fortune and more about using what comes naturally. Namely, er, urine. (Yes, you did read that correctly.)

Lending a whole new meaning to the words ‘perfume sample’, it turns out it’s not just your GP that values your pee. Italian perfume brand O’Driu, founded by perfumer Angelo Orazio Pregoni, is set to launch perhaps the most bespoke fragrance ever. Aptly entitled Peety, a strategic 1ml has been left free at the top of the tobacco, amber, jasmine and rose scented fragrance for the recipient to add 10 drops of their own urine to complete the – truly - unique perfume blend.

Inspired by 60s Italian comic book anti-hero Diabolik, we’re thinking that might perhaps have been a better name for it.
