When Kaiser Karl's in town, you drop everything that was in your diary. When the man himself touched in London yesterday to launch a store for his eponymous label with a party on Regent Street, as well a new fragrance in Harrods with a dinner later, everyone who was anyone was there: Cara Delevingne (of course), Suki Waterhouse, Arizona Muse, the band HAIM, our editor Carrie Tyler, and even Princess Beatrice.

Elsewhere, in slightly less savoury news, the premiere of Lars von Trier's Nymphomaniac Vol. I took place in new York, with the film's many stars - Charlotte gainsbourg, Uma Thurman and Stacy Martin - opting for dark and slick outfits. In Berlin, meanwhile, Emma Watson and Jennifer Connelly gave good back at the premiere of their film Noah in co-ordinated floor-length dark gowns with a bit of a twist.
