Even though Yves Saint Laurent's famous tuxedo jacket has been around since the 60s it still doesn't get as much attention as the LBD.

But it should. The tuxedo jacket or Le Smoking is the cool-girl alternative to wearing a dress, it looks fantastic and is easy to wear.

Either stay classic with matching tuxedo trousers or try pairing with luxe jeans (Citizens of Humanity and Victoria Beckham do great velvet styles). A crisp starched white shirt will look great, buttoned up to the top, equally if your jacket is modest enough, go shirtless. And finish with a pair of heels.
