Rachel Bilson looking the same as always. Because it totally works for her
What is it about lovely Rachel Bilson – she doesn’t change at all on the beauty front, does she? I mean, it’s been a good six years now since The O.C. finished and yet on nearly every public outing she looks like she’s just walked off set, playing her character Summer. She hasn’t aged one bit and the preppy beauty look she always recreates is so similar to the teenaged character she played, it’s uncanny.
The other thing about Bilson is that she approaches her blusher palette with some serious bravado. She’s an all or nothing girl, and when she’s dolled up and drinking champagne with LA’s finest, she’s also sure to be the rosiest girl in the room in that chic way that looks girlish, healthy and… sort of, fertile. At last night’s Chanel dinner, it was no different, and those school-girl rouged cheeks took centre-stage once again.
Clever thing about Rachel is that she knows what works for her. And she never strays from it. Never. You won’t ever find her road-testing a bleached brow just because it’s on trend, or a coral matte lip, because she knows it won’t suit. And that’s what makes her look so refreshing; it’s always, always the same and why not? It totally works. Hence her very straight-forward pink lip, triple black mascara coating and sun-kissed complexion, which although aren’t at all different or cool in any particular way, work seamlessly and beautifully. Fair play to you Rachel, fair play.
