Laura Bailey’s £25 secret skincare weapon

by

I regularly stalk Laura Bailey’s Instagram and Twitter feeds, because, well, I am a big, big fan of hers. Like, huge fan. Everything from her wardrobe to her new Loquet venture (yes, it’s top on my wish list) are inspirational. And one of her recent tweets got me all excited; a little hot under the collar with exhilaration.

She posted a photo of Melvita’s Extraordinary Oil, £25, the argan-infused gem that’s meant to be a winner for both body and hair. I’ve put two and two together and assumed this is a purchase that’ll be accompanying her on her annual family holiday to Positano in August. Stalker? Maybe.

So yes, I ordered my bottle of Melvita half an hour after seeing her tweet, in the vain hope that it might make my hair (read: me) more like Laura’s. And on further dissection of said tweet – I know, I really am obsessed – it looks to unveil what might just be an undiscovered, A-list, shopping spot. At Josh Wood’s Holland Park Atelier, no less. Coming from the clever team behind Beautymart, there’s a very select and beautifully edited range of things on offer that Josh’s high end clientele can pick from.

Rumour has it Jemima Khan picked up this last week after being blow dried. Further proof that this new beauty pop-up might well just be the hidden-away haven that the likes of Laura and co. are buying their beauty loot from. See you  in Lansdowne Mews.
