Lupita Nyong'o's SAG award-winning eyeshadow
Lupita Nyong’o how much do we love thee? Let us count the ways. The actress who scooped Best Supporting Actress at last night’s SAG awards is impressing us so much this year, not only with her shrewd choice of gownage, but her make-up is pretty hot too. Take last night’s stellar turquoise shadow. As soon as she stepped on the red carpet twitter was flooded with burning questions on the specific shade and whose fair hand had created the look.
Nick Barose was the artist in question and we can tell you he used a medley of Chanel blues: Les 4 Ombre Quadra in Fascination to get the intense aquamarine shade in the inner corners and Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Amethyst to create the diaphanous purple haze at the outer edges. Barose then suped up the shadows using Chanel Style Yeux Waterproof Liner in Violine, a deeper purple close to the lash line, and Chanel Le Crayon Khol Intense Eye Pencil in Peche Cuivre, a kind of sparkly old gold, to highlight ever so slightly under the brows. If only there was a gong for best supporting eye shadow, our money would be on Lupita to win that too.
