Like handkerchief tops and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, so certain beauty products have become synonymous with the era we grew up in.

This was the 90s and to our, now enlightened, eyes the beauty landscape looked very different. We'd never even heard of a skin serum, hair serum maybe, but mainly we sourced our beauty inspiration from sophisticated big sisters or the nearest branch of The Body Shop, Against Animal Testing tote bag in tow.

But like all facets of growing up, this experimental beauty phase was something we needed to go through to grow, to evolve. If you're nurturing an expensive balayage habit now, chances are you started out with Sun In. Likewise, the serious skincare junkies among us earned our stripes daubing vivid Montagne Juenesse face masks onto our, less than perfect, complexions circa age 13. And don't even get us started on Juicy Tubes. All in all, it was far from sophisticated, but boy, was it so much fun.
