It’s an undeniable fact that Scandinavian women have the most impeccably flawless complexions. Famed worldwide for their fresh-faced glow and less-is-more approach to beauty, they possess the kind of skin that seems to ooze health and luminosity (think Helena Christensen) and makes you want to peel your own face off in the hope of starting again.

We’re already hooked on Scandi fashion and telly, so it seems perfectly fitting that we look to our Nordic neighbours for a little skincare inspiration too. Particularly as almost every beauty aesthetic we witnessed backstage at the Spring/Summer 2014 shows heralded natural, ethereal skin at its core.

Sure, an anti-oxidant rich diet and the freshest spring water known to man are often cited as the reasons Scandis have such utterly radiant complexions (along with great genes) – but the locally-sourced, natural ingredients that form their niche skincare definitely play their part too.
