We may all be growing very, very weary of the ceaseless celebration of all things 90s (I think we're on dungarees and daisy chains stuffed into bleached hair now) but there's one little pocket of 90s posturing that's been sorely overlooked. That is, the beauty campaigns that not only reigned during our coming of age era, but - and here's the crucial part - still feel gigantically relevant today.

The beauty campaigns of the 90s present an area of which any modern-day homages, appear not as heavy-handed parodies but as subtly executed motifs of cool, fresh, minimalist beauty. Fat brows are prominent, as is monochromatic styling and a red lip, aspects which are equally rife for autumn/winter13. 

And so all of this serves as a gentle reminder us that actually, the 90s were really not that long ago. And the make-up diktact the decade put forth is a far less embarrassing thing to resurrect than its fashions. That's surely something we can all agree on.
