Genes have a lot to answer for when it comes to beauty. Bone structure, skin type, even your deft with a tube of scarlet lipstick can be inherited from your mum, or dad (just saying). It's no different in Hollywood. In fact, it's alarming to see how the blood lines are becoming ever more concentrated as beautiful offspring pair up with beautiful offspring and create, guess what? More beautiful offspring. 

Genetics aside, there's also a learned beauty behaviour we inherit from parents. Our core values of what we think is attractive, appropriate and desirable were most probably subconsciously absorbed from our mothers too. That's borderline alarming right?

If you need further proof, look to the world of celebrity. It's no coincidence that Yasmin Le Bon and daughter Amber both have a charmingly self-deprecating streak when it comes to discussing their profession. Or that Peggy Lipton and Rashida Jones both have a thing about their eyes. There are a few exceptions (perhaps Lourdes isn't quite ready to grasp her mother's intellectual ramblings...yet) but on the whole, these mother daughter duos share more than just a similarity in front of the camera, their whole beauty philosophies have a commonality and you know what, it's actually kind of touching.
