You know the pieces: the felt cap; the Kenzo eye print; the Givenchy sweatshirt; and the Junya jeans. Some things stand out from the collections and become, through a delicate pH balance of street style ubiquity versus esoteric cool points, the must-haves – or at least, the regularly-seens – of the season.

I'm attempting to predict what those might be for spring 2014, without the use of a crystal ball or even a psychic octopus but based purely on what we liked most from the shows, what will play well with buyers and customers, and what will prove such catnip with the street snappers that it'll be burned into our retinas before you can say 'oh actually that shade of yellow is quite flattering really, isn't it?'
