Notorious provocateurs that fashion designers are, they'll delight in whipping up controversy when they've got the world's press at their fingertips, whether using the catwalk as a platform for political agenda, as Vivienne Westwood has done addressing issues of climate change, or simply playing with popular perceptions, as Marc Jacobs did when he made one of the Kardashian Klan high fashion. 

And then there's the feather-ruffling imposters that end up stealing the show, including streakers, protesters, and overdressed front row guests.
