The A-list were in London last night for the BAFTA awards and a social media-savvy few took to Instagram to give us little snapshots of their preparation process and their after-party fun. 

Lupita Nyong'o, who missed out on the BAFTA for best supporting actress and the EE Rising Star Award, posted a picture of herself with Michael Fassbender, captioned '#EEBAFTAs Losers Selfie with Fasso. #ingoodcompany.'

So she's funny and self-aware as well as being incredibly talented, utterly beautiful and supremely stylish...

Earlier in the evening, she had uploaded a very funny video herself being sown into her fabulous Stella McCartney gown. God, we love Oprah. 

Lily Allen, queen of the manicure, posted a picture of her nails and David Morris jewellery.

Laura Bailey, who had the loveliest hair of the evening, posted an Instagram pic of herself and her friend Sheherazade Goldsmith, whose boyfriend, Alfonso Cuarón, took home the BAFTA for best director for Gravity.

Karen Elson posted a picture of herself and Rita Ora on stage at an after-party with the caption, 'Impromptu sing a long with @ritaora tonight at Harvey Weinstein's bafta soirée #decked out in @Marchesa'. 

And Laura Mvulva, who performed at the ceremony with Tinie Tempah, fangirled hard in the presence of Lupita Nyong'o, Instagramming a picture with the caption, 'Wonderful to meet the dazzling beauty that is Lupita Nyong'o.' It's how we all feel about Lupita, Laura, it really is.
