Blonde on blonde! The new models hitting the (bleach) bottle

by

I adore bleach. I've piled it onto my hair intermittently for a decade. At times, my hair has responded by promptly breaking off. I know it's bad, but I return to it time and time again, such is it's sunny, happy-inducing spell.

It's a magnetic pull that's also bewitching the upper echelons of the modelling industry right now. All the girls on the brink of making it into the next Chanel or Dior campaign have, of late, sought the mystifying powers of bleach on hair, ramping up their beauty, allure and bankability in the process.

It's no secret that bleach, when applied without care, can ravage hair - but what these girls have on their sides is the cream of the world's colourists, there to tend to every milimetre of mousy roots, every little bit of candy-floss fuzz and every strand that threatens to break off under the onslaught of the next brush it meets. The trick to maintain bleached hair for the rest of us? Consistency. Book your roots in for every 3 weeks and stick to it, it's when you let it for a while (which ironically, would seem like the kindest thing to do) that double-dying is more likely to occur, thus frazzling hair into oblivion.

But let's not bore ourselves to death with the innate tedium of hair care maintenance (vital though it is), let's immerse ourselves into the world of the platinum blonde model ice queen in the gallery above. And dream a dream of Monroe blonde.
