London’s getting a walk-in nail bar. Finally

by

There are a few great things that American has which Britain could really do with. Loads, actually. Like hot pretzel stands on every street corner and the whopper of a celebration that is Thanksgiving. That would be nice, wouldn’t it? And cheapo nail bars too. You know, those dead-easy ones that don’t require an advance booking and are cheap as chips. Just a few of the USA’s greats…

But hold on – talking of the latter, things might just be looking up for us poor, deprived Brits. Yes we can bang on about the joys of Yorkshire puddings, David Beckham and the heaven-on-earth spot that is the Josh Wood Atelier, but there’s no question that a walk-in mani bar would be, well, the cherry on the London cake.

Rejoice, my friends. Your prayers have been answered. And the superhero in question is a totally new kid on the block. No really, you haven’t seen these guys before. Ever. You might have heard of its older sibling, Cowshed (course you have), but chances are you haven’t heard about its younger and arguably hipper little sis, Cheeky.

Cheeky is a genius newcomer that’s yet to grace the beauty market. Everything about it is cool, like the fact that the range starts at just £7 and has trendy silver packaging. But the best thing of all is the nail bar it’s bringing with it. A straightforward, no reservations, walk-in nail bar. Opening in Shoreditch, on quirky Redchurch Street – because, where else? – will live said bar, no doubt attracting a gaggle of cool hipsters within seconds of throwing its door open.

Mark your diaries people, it’s 23 September to be precise, and having seen architectural proofs and layout designs, it’s going to be M-E-G-A. Think 12 nail stations, manicures for just £12 (which includes a new, full size nail polish to take home) and much, much more. In fact, things way bigger and better than what our NYC counterparts have to offer (sorry guys). About bloody time too, London.
