Ethical clothing that's also affordable and original

The autumn/winter 2013 collection of the ASOS Africa line goes on sale this afternoon, with pieces that are both bang on-trend and utterly ethical available from the website after 4pm.

The pieces are designed by an in-house ASOS team, who have this year been inspired by the Masai tribes of Kenya when creating a collection that speaks of both the London streets and the African nature reserves. Plaid and print combine in looks that somehow encapsulate lots of key autumn/winter 2013 trends (check, sweatshirts, clashing pattern) while retaining an originality that sets them apart from other high-street offerings.

The very best thing about the collection however is its absolutely top-notch ethics: now in its eighth season, the ASOS Africa line is produced in a Kenyan factory that provides safe and fair jobs and training for women in some of Kenya’s poorest communities. This is fashion that is affordable, looks good and is very, very principled. That's a lot of boxes ticked.
