Awards season starts tonight - what, nobody told you? It's okay because you can get away with watching them on SKY in a mud pack and ski pants. It's this lot that have to pull their best-friggin-ever beauty looks out of the bag less than three weeks after the sugar-mountain that was Christmas. Yikes.

Ahead of tonight's Golden Globes, the first real outing for Hollywood in 2014, we got to thinking about our most iconic red carpet beauty looks of all time. The ones that excited and surprised us in equal measures. You know, the ones that still make us tingle every time we hear the rustle of a taffeta gown.

Whether it's Michelle Williams' graduation into glamour by way of an expertly painted red lip and undone Hollywood waves (Oscars 2009 fyi), or an iconic slice of Geena Davis complete with a Monroe coiff and hazlenut brow, we're loving reliving these iconic moments in beauty ahead of awards season V.2014.
