I first fell in love, and I mean totally heart-stopping, legs quivering love, with Daria Werbowy when we filmed her on a New York rooftop for a Never Underdressed shoot back in March. She was like the female equivalent of James Dean. Cool, calm, at ease with herself and the most un-model-y model you can imagine. Sidling in with her battered old red leather jacket, nose ring and swooshy, unbrushed hair, she was a total vision of what it means to be a beautiful, cool young woman in 2013.

It sort of hasn't ended though. I'm still hopelessly in love, but it's not my fault. Honest. Daria just keeps knocking it out of the park with utterly delicious campaign after campaign. She's back on top in a big way, but takes it all in her stride, spending much of her personal time not building column inches on P.Diddy's yacht (she'll go sailing on her own thank you very much), but away with her boyfriend in a notably-unstarry pocket of rural Ireland. Which of course, makes me love her more.

It helps too that Daria's got that sort of wisened, intelligent look, she's not a baby model or a plastic, plump-lipped scion of perceived sexiness, she transcends age, transcends preconceived notions of femininity and just... is. 

I can't be alone in my obsession. Not least because she's everywhere this autumn. Daris is not only the Celine woman (season upon season, lest we forget), but the Isabel Marant woman too. Two labels which, it goes without saying, are stamped on my retina as what 'good dressing' is. 

So Daria, this is your moment, once again. Let's remember it forever.
