New face Aisha flutters in Alber Elbaz lashes

by

The model faces of tomorrow meet the beauty trends of today, here, every week.

The eagerly anticipated Lancome/Alber Elbaz collaboration has been fabulously well received. The results are, well, truly marvellous. Better than expected. It’s the kind of make-up that’s almost too pretty to use. Beautiful packaging and whimsical designs that you want to keep forever and ever, until one day your daughter takes them in for show and tell at school.

Arguably the most fabulous thing in the collection is the eyelashes - delicately sparse, feathery ones that are just the right balance between Betty Boop and Penelope Tree. But not at all OTT, heaven forbid. So when Aisha from Models 1 waltzed into the office, all thick brown brows and brunette hair, it seemed only polite to allow her to take on the task of trying said lashes.

The pictures need little explanation; Aisha looks epic - slightly Betty Boop, ironically. Her eyes looked properly dressed up in the same way that Alber dresses the Lanvin girls each season, all rich textures and graceful swathes of fabric. But subtle too, because an Alber girl never shouts. Not surprisingly, Aisha asked to keep the lashes on for the rest of the day; we duly obliged.
