Not only are we muscling in on what's on the men's catwalks in Milan this week, we're also taking over their street style too. You can't swing a sockless loafer without it hitting a beautiful woman nonchalantly tricked out in relaxed tailoring and a comfy shoe.

The look is much more low-key than the head-to-toers and couture darlings that pop up for womenswear. This is a crowd reliant on those staples of the male wardrobe that we've mercilessly co-opted over the years already: slouchy trousers, a stompy shoe, louche blazers, even knitwear. And no heels – well, not many anyway. The women of the menswear circuit are a practical lot, so at this time of year – deepest, darkest winter – you'll find them in something sturdy or, failing that, a jazzy trainer so they can hop straight on their bike to the next event.
