Elton John has been a performer for five decades now, banging out brilliant pop songs in some pretty spectacular outfits. Next year, a film depicting his life, charting his transformation from child prodigy to angry young man and on to global superstar, will be produced by his own company Rocket Pictures, with Tom Hardy taking on the lead role, Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) writing and Michael Gracey (that Evian skating babies advert) directing. 

Elton John has promised that the film will be a musical, 'Moulin Rouge type of stuff', and it is safe to say that we cannot wait. In the meantime, we can delight ourselves with the singer's look book, remembering his fabulous costumes and his stellar friends (Cher, Miuccia, Madonna: Elton knows them all).
