Well hello Lady Gaga, glad to see you back on the scene and on attention-grabbing form. You see, Gaga couldn’t be seen to simply follow a trend, but she needs to stay cool in the heat like the rest of us. So instead she says, ‘I see your crop-tops, fashion followers, and I raise you, THIS’, before taking a stroll around New York in a bra. Not a still-counts-as-clothes bra-top mind, just a regular old piece of lingerie. 

It’s good to see Gaga trump a trend this way, because her next level ridiculousness is one of the biggest reasons to love her. Never mind that said outfit happens to coincide with a new single announcement (19th August you guys!), it’s still a welcome alternative to the bland style that’s forced in our faces for much of the summer. 

But, (and butt being the operative word) as we all know, when you’re not Lady Gaga, stripping down for summer should be treated with caution – nobody needs to see serious under-hang when you’re wearing denim shorts. So instead, be inspired by Gaga’s renegade spirit, and perhaps venture to the belly-button baring heights (and indeed, lows) the crop-top trend has reached, just don’t go leaving the house looking NSFW.
