The Golden Globes sound the death knell for long, flowing Rapunzel hair

Time was, the filles of the red carpet would use that most auspicious of occassions to show off the Rapunzel-length tresses they'd spent the preceding 13 months growing, in a cavalcade of undone curls of a classic Marcel wave.
And yet, it appears to have died a death if last night's Golden Globes are anything to go by. What began on the catwalk has now infiltrated the atypically traditional beauty enclaves of Hollywood: the short, sharp bob is king. Eschewing the usual tropes of femininity and glamour (read: long, tousled supermodel hair), the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Kelly Osbourne, Zosia Mamet, Caitlin Fitzgerald and Aubrey Plaza were all singing to the same music.
