Kate Foley’s dip-dye. And why she wants Rapunzel’s hair
The Opening Ceremony buyer was once dip-dyed by bleach queen, Alex Brownsell; she looks back on the campaign fondly
‘This was taken in the summer of 2011. Alex Brownsell did it for the Bleach campaign. I completely loved it! The pink was amazing. I've dyed my hair with a light pinky lavender colour quite a bit but it was always very subtle so it was really cool to just go for it and have a strong colour like this in my hair. Luckily the colour didn’t damage my hair. I have light blonde hair naturally so Alex didn't have to use bleach in it.
The thing I like about my hair is that it’s so easy. I barely even dry it in the summer. It doesn't get frizzy and dries well on its own. I don't ever really have to do anything to it. I go for long periods without even cutting it (we’re talking years) and it just does its own thing.
"I’d like to have hair like Rapunzel, before it was chopped off. She has pretty mega hair."
I love treatments by Original Mineral. Their Seven Day Miracle treatment is amazing and definitely helps when your hair is feeling too dry. But my number one hair buy of all is John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo. I've tried so many other nicer shampoos and have never been as happy with the result. I've used it since I was in my teens. I wash my hair every two days, in the mornings, and let it dry naturally in the summer. In the winter I blast it with a hair dryer but never style it. I use Original Minerals Frizzy Logic Serum sometimes if I'm going somewhere in the evening to make it shinier. Original Minerals just opened a salon in NY so I've started going there to get my hair trimmed. It's very laid back and you all sit around a large table, a bit like in a coffee shop.
I’d like to have hair like Rapunzel, before it was chopped off. She has pretty mega hair. Though I’m probably more of a make-up person. As I wear my hair pretty natural it allows me to focus more on my make-up look. I love to wear a bright lipstick in a red or pink and always go back to NARS or By Terry.'
