The gleaming, golden rules of headscarf tying
Headscarves are having a bit of a thing of late, and I am over the moon. Reason being, I really, really love them. They’re nice and different in a world full of mainstream offerings and mean you stand out a little bit more in the sea of Ray Ban Wayfarers and Acne Pistol boots that the world is so overpopulated by.
Not only do they take your look from average to totally cool and envy-making in one simple tie of a knot, they work all year round too. Whether it’s on the white sandy beaches of Formentera, wrapped atop hair while working on a golden tan or fastened tightly around chilly ears in the depths of Winter, there’s a style for every occasion and weather.
Dolce & Gabbana spring/summer 2013
Recently, it seems I am not alone with the whole scarf loving. Only last week Rihanna stepped out in a grandmother style wrap and the spring/summer 2013 catwalks had a notable headscarf love-in too. There are many to mention, but for me it culminated at the Dolce & Gabbana show (and yes I’ve ordered one) where the likes of Bette Franke and Cara Delevingne donned bright, silky sheaths, looking more gorgeous than Laetitia Casta in *those* ad campaigns.
Problem is, and I am all too aware, how on earth do you tie the damn thing? Well here’s how – look and learn.
