Now my thinking is that, if you're going to spend a mint on your make-up, you want somewhere stylish to stash it, correct? It's part of the whole theatre of getting ready and the more covetable the vessel you choose to house your cosmetics, the more beautiful the whole experience will be. At least that's the idea anyway.

But don't throw all caution to the wind. There are some basic practical requirements to consider. Washability, or in the very least, wipeability, rank high on this list, as does a hard wearing zip and if you've a penchant for organising, a functional pocket or two.
