It looks like that modern stone-age family, specifically Pebbles, has inspired the folks over at Chanel for their latest campaign. Hair stylist Sam McKnight Instagrammed shots, featuring Lindsey Wixson, from the shoot styled by Carine Roitfeld and the hair he created - via a wig - is a reimagining of Pebbles' high ponytail. One might say that Sam took 'Flintspiration' from the children's cartoon.

We'd always wondered what Pebbles would have looked like grown up; would she have Wilma's poise and elegance or Fred's bluster - and now we know. 

We like to think it's a style signpost to the fact that 2014 will be the year hair stops taking itself quite so seriously and will once again embrace a sense of fun. It's been boyish and a little too staid for long enough, so thank you Sam for getting this year off to the right start.
