Miranda Kerr channels Wicked Game for Kora Organics

by

I've often thought that if there was ever a mood, a moment, a look worth emulating, you can't really go wrong in selecting Helena Christensen, writhing around on a beach with Chris Isaac for his 1989 video for Wicked Game. Which is exactly what the highly entrepreneurial Miranda Kerr seems to have just done in her new ad campaign for self-started skincare line, Kora Organics.

Shot in Peter Lindburgh-style high contrast black and white, Miranda's staggering facial symmetry is showcased to full effect as she glares down the camera, hair drenched, skin wet and golden, with a look in her eyes that says, bluntly, 'sex,' It's a welcome departure from the achingly wholesome, yummy-mummy image that Miranda has quickly made her own and, mercifully, gives a new raw edge to the ostensibly dull world of organic skincare.

And there's more than a little bit of Helena woven within here. At the apex of what was to become a good decade of supermodel domination for her, Helena set the tone for what beach sexy is really is and has been every since. That is, wearing nothing but a pair of big pants. Remarkable.

Kora Organics is now available exclusively at Net-a-Porter
