Girls on Film: Carine's models talk body flaws

by

Let's face it. Usually when models talk about their supposed flaws, it's about as irritating as fingernails down a chalk board. But. And this is a big 'but'. When Carine Roitfeld is at the helm, it feels like an entirely new idea. With Carine's vision and innate sense of playful style which seeps into all she does like osmosis, this hackneyed concept is at once, revitalized.

Shot to celebrate the launch of the third edition of Carine's CR Fashion Book, the model stars of the issue each discuss their loves, their ambitions, and the quirks that make them... them. Stef van der Laan, Sacha Luss, Candice Swanopoel all make a charming appearance, as does Carine's art director daughter, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, who confesses a peculiar superstition about how the salt must be passed at dinner.

Further proof, if ever it was needed, that only Carine allows us to see a different side - a more vulnerable side - of the models she's inspired by.
