Charlotte Dellal vinatge, creamy waves. Heaven

by

Charlotte Dellal sure knows her way around a set of hot rollers. That is, if her 40s wave at last night’s Great Gatsby premiere is anything to go by. Her matte red lip, most likely to be her favourite shade of MAC Russian Red, plays second fiddle to that hair, which quite frankly is on a whole other level.

It’s the kind of creamy, caramel hue  - somewhere between platinum and gold - that takes months and months to perfect into a 50s style shade that the rouge-haired Rita Hayworth would approve of, who incidentally is one of Charlotte’s beauty inspirations. And despite what must be a serious colour and heat treated hair sesh, her hair still looks glossy and full of health.

That'll be down to the genius work of Charlotte's hair stylist, Sibi Bolan, from Hersheson's salon in Conduit Street. 'Charlotte's movie star inspired colour is a passion of mine,' Sibi told us. 'I use the INOA Ultra Blonde range from L'Oreal because it contains no ammonia and low peroxide levels. It's oil based too, so leaves hair with that super blonde, glossy movie icon quality.' In good hands it seems, Charlotte.

She gets the retro/modern ratio just right, which is no easy feat and the way it shimmers with newness and recoils around her ears is just magnificent. How long it lasts though, is anyone’s guess.

Charlotte’s flawless face of radiance was note-worthy too, helped by the fact that she is pregnant with baby number three and full of all that new baby goodness that makes mothers glow like nothing else. Which is also presumably why she’s ditched her seven inch heels for a pair of much coveted Zodiac flats. Nice work all round, Char.
