Miu Miu Muses - the beauty looks through the ages

by

We've already alerted to you the fact that Miu Miu have unveiled a bunch of beautiful new poster girls in their SS14 campaign, but as far as inspiring our beauty routines goes, they do have form.

Our obsession with the Miu Miu beauty aesthetic started way back in 1995 when a cropped, peroxide Drew Barrymore channeled Betty Boop via Paula Yates and made us all want to be Miuiccia's pet project. Next came a gloriously androgynous Chloe Sevigny, an artfully disheveled Kim Basigner and more recently, a velvet-lipped Kirsten Dunst. Through the years we've followed the the Miu Miu girl on an epic journey through heavy-set brows and green eye shadow. True, some looks have been more successful than others, but whatever Queen Miuiccia deems appropriate for our dressing table, the truth is, we're willing to give it a try.

It's all part of the brand's playful Italian legacy that, season after season, as well as a glut of gorgeous new clothes and accessories to feast our pupils upon, we're presented with a brand new beauty aesthetic. Oh, and then there were those whispers about a Miu Miu make up range too. SCREAM.

Take a look through the gallery above to revisit Miu Miu's cool-girl beauty style through the years.
