Naming their collection ‘Jacquie and Mary Ellen’ in an ode to their mothers, designers Catherine Teatum and Rob Jones paid tribute to women who ‘never praise themselves’.

The hard-working housewife muse with tea towel permanently on the shoulder translated into a dress with draped shoulder detail. And the wipe-clean, laminated check fabrics were inspired by simple tablecloths.

The domestic references continued but what endured was a thoroughly wearable collection of separates, with print-work that as usual felt relevant.
