Ahead of the upcoming couture week in Paris, Giambattista Valli has released a sweet video charting last season’s couture experience, from the atelier to the catwalk show, which took place at the Italian embassy in Paris.  

The four-minute offering attempts to encapsulate the hours and hours of work undertaken by an entire team to create the intricate dresses sent down the runway in front of an assembly of royals, industry insiders and celebrities.

 Fittings take place using models with no make-up in slightly scruffy surroundings but the grandeur of the dresses remains obvious, undimmed by a casual sitting. 

And when the ornate floral gowns are shown against the baroque surroundings of the embassy, it would almost convince you to sell everything you own and buy a Giambattista Valli couture gown with the cash.
