Last night's look: Sienna Miller

by

At last night’s Tony Awards, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d walked onto the set of 2007 fantasy film Stardust at one sighting of Sienna Miller. There she was, all ethereal and fairy-like, complete with a floral head garland and the kind of pure skin that one associates with angel beings. And funny thing is, her date for the night, husband Tom Sturridge, even looks the spitting image of her co-star from the film, Charlie Cox (what ever happened to his handsome self?), which is somewhat amusing.

Perhaps Sienna is going back to her boho roots? Ever since she arrived on the scene clinging on to Jude Law, she spearheaded the boho vibe (stringy tendrils, bronzed cheeks) which then spread like wildfire. Yes there were brief dalliances with others styles (remember that Edie Sedgwick guise she wouldn’t let go of after filming the biopic in 2006?), but really she’s a boho girl through and through. Her English rose pairing of sunshine blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, that nonchalant vibe she oozes by the bucket load and those Tippi Hedren-esque full lashes… it’s about as boho as you can get.

And the skin. Can we please just talk about the skin for a moment? She’s got that unbelievable, porcelain skin that’s never had a blemish in its life. And it totally set her apart last night from the army of faux bronzed actresses who paraded past. Teamed with the delicately highlighted hair that was swept back into a headband, which we sort of hope Savannah made that very afternoon. Talking of which, her hair is one feature she hasn’t really changed much at all; it’s almost the same hue it was eight years ago now, when she roamed the streets of Primrose Hill with her terriers in tow.

But being the cool girl she is, Sienna has accented her fairy tale beauty with a killer slick of berry lip lipstick. Course she has – she’s not just a pretty face you know. Even better, she’s graded the colour of it across the lips, keeping it darker around the edges and paler towards the middle, as if to say, ‘I can bite too’. And almost over-night, it’s like little, old Sienna grew up a bit.
