A white shirt with a difference
Never Underdressed's assistant editor Kelly Bowerbank on her Freda blouse
I find that people in fashion bang on a lot about the usefulness of a white shirt. It’s heralded as a style staple, an investment piece. I’ve dabbled with them from time to time but they always end up disregarded and dusty at the back of my wardrobe. Honestly, I find them boring. I get the appeal of course; I see other people in them all the time looking cool, nonchalant and compelling all at once. But on me they feel a bit, well, meeeh. That was until I met the Mia contrast shirt by Freda (MATCHESFASHION.COM own label). All the pros of a simple white shirt but the blue blocks elevate it out of bland and into interesting. The only downside so far is that lunch requires much more thought – Itsu noodle pots and it do not mix!
