The 3 Paris Fashion Week products you need now

by

By the time our weary legs reach Paris – the final scene in the drama that is fashion month – it’s rare to spot a new product. This is the denouement. The moment when all the twists and turns of New York, London and Milan come together in one grand, trend-led scheme.

Yet this morning’s Roland Mouret show proved to be the exception to the rule with a trio of products so niche they’ll feel fresh and shiny and new to even the true beauty connoisseur. Try these on for size and get a head start on Autumn/Winter 2014 now.

1. Talika Lipocils Eyelash and Eyebrow Serum
I snuffled around in make-up artist Val Garland’s kit and like a moth to a beauty flame, alighted upon this conditioning serum. Garland applied it with a fan brush to create ‘lash separation and shine’ – minus the severity of mascara. Fingers on buzzers – you’ll find it on Feel Unique.

2. Revlon Professional Equave
I love a Revlon lip butter or nail lacquer as much as the next girl. But as a brand, it’s never been my first port of call for hair. After seeing the ‘thick, glossy, curtain of hair’ created when stylist Orlando Pita merely blow-dried in a spritz of this little bottle of wonders, I stand corrected. Praise be – Beautybay.com has shipped this Parisian product in for us Brits.

3. MAC Mixing Medium in Matte
If you really know your beauty stuff, you will have seen this before. But I’m willing to bet you haven’t used it on your lips. When buffed in with a cotton wool bud, it adds a matte, velvet texture to the natural tone of your pout. Bye-bye lip balm, this product has shot-gunned a place in my handbag for next season.
