If last night's Met Ball taught us anything, it's that adhering to your signature beauty look needn't mean bland and boring. In fact, taking what works for you and elaborating on it just a little bit is the perfect way to honour the couture-meets-punk theme. It also ensures you don't feel (or indeed, look) like a rabbit in the headlights. 

Case in point, Kirsten Stewart's deep Merlot blended eye, Rooney Mara's non-shouty plum lip and the human bundle of perfection that is, Anja Rubik. With trademark flippy hair and a POW red lip, Anja looks both a bit punk and effortlessly cool.
