‘I might feel terrible, but I look great’ Moss on faux-tan

If there was ever a way to make self-tanning spectacularly cool, it’s by lassoing Kate Moss into strutting around in a swimsuit, sporting a faux-glow, getting Sølve Sundsbø to photograph it and projecting the images all around the world. Which is just what St Tropez has just done for its first ever global advertising campaign.  

And very kindly, the people at St Tropez have given us some exclusive behind the scenes footage, which perfectly exhibits the glory of the tan, on the world’s most famous model. Buffed and bronzed to perfection by St Tropez’s global tanning expert, Nichola Joss, watch Kate recline on a series of (appropriately faux) poolside ledges, limbs glossy, golden and lean. Also note our favourite pillars of beautifying – Val Garland on make-up duty (‘healthy, wealthy skin’ – yes please) and Sam McKnight on hair patrol (slick, chic and unfussy, classic Kate). 

It’s also a surreptitious peek into the flawless expertise of the British institution that is Kate. Note her gaze into the camera at 1.32 seconds in, that face could crash cars.
