The Nail Shade (modelled by MIley) that Marc Jacobs Mixed Himself

by

There are some fashion-brand beauty lines that feel so far removed from the catwalk, we wonder if the designer's even seen the colours before they land on our desks (just saying). Not so with Marc Jacobs. In fact this season, he's even mixed his own nail polish shade - the murky, puddle-coloured polish named Bark! that models debuted on the Spring Summer 2014 catwalk. How into his own make-up is that?

While we're still waiting patiently (see Marc, we deserve it) for his beauty line to actually hit UK shores, anyone travelling to the US this spring might want to pick up a bottle of Bark! from their nearest Sephora before the well of glossy varnish runs dry. It's sort of a signature colour you see - Miley Cyrus wears it in the new season campaign imagery and it's just the right shade of woody brown to contrast the rich green and blue liners we predict you'll be daubing about your eyes in, oooh, a matter of months.

If it's a total catwalk homage you're after, you'll also need some black gemstones to line the tip of each nail. Marian Newman and team painstakingly applied these to 970 nails before the show but we reckon we can manage ten. Try a pro nail art supply shop like vivalanails for something similar.
